Calculating Your Membership Dues:
As a member in good standing, your property or group will be eligible for an 8% discount for participation in each of the power, natural gas, insurance, and employee benefits programs for dues. Up to 32% savings on your bill if you participate in all four programs.
Base Fee: $395/property*
Fee per Room: $5.90/room
Fee per Liquor Licence: $80/licence
Fee per VLT: $20/terminal
*The following base fee discounts will be applied for hotels associated with multi-property ownership groups where all properties are members.
2-4 Hotels: 35%
5-9 Hotels: 55%
10+ Hotels: 65%
All above rates are valid for 2024 and are subject to change.
Safety Subscribers
The Alberta Hotel & Lodging Association is the official safety association for all hotels and convention centres that are a part of the Alberta Workers’ Compensation Board Industry Code 87503. All of these businesses are subscribers to important AHLA health & safety communications and have access to health & safety training opportunities on the AHLA’s Health & Safety Training Portal.
