Alberta Government Online Campsite Reservation Service

The Alberta Government launched a new online campsite reservation service at selected campgrounds May 1, 2009. According to the Edmonton Journal, the first phase of the new online campground reservation service will cost the provincial government $8.4 million. The service is estimated to cost approximately $1.8 million to operate in 2009/2010. This includes maintaining the reservation service, increasing permit booth operations in the parks and extending contact centre hours.

Government of Alberta RV Campground Study

The study was undertaken in collaboration with representatives of the AHLA and the Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association of Alberta.  Preliminary results of the study were presented at the AHLA's 2009 Convention.
