The AHLA's Opening Breakfast has a reputation for bringing world class speakers to our members, and 2010 was no different!  Sponsored by Connect Logistics, the Opening Breakfast featured the amazing story of Mr. Warren Macdonald. 

Mr. Warren Macdonald lost both of his legs in a tragic climbing accident.  His story of challenge, triumph and hope is one that inspired and motivated all who heard him speak. Lance Bryce, of Dale Carnegie training, led this interactive session to help attendees find ways to combat stress in their daily lives, both at work and at home.  Sponsored by Best Buy Canada and LG Electronics, this session was valuable for all who attended.

Presented by Alberta Tourism, Parks & Recreation's Tourism Development Branch, representatives of PKF gave a current and comprehensive outlook on Alberta’s accommodation industry, providing owners and general managers with key information about the health of our sector.

Back by popular demand, this informative session, led by Mr. Frank Wolfe, President of HFTP, provided a glimpse into the future of technology in the hospitality industry.

Barbara Malacko of the Alberta Hotel Safety Associateion, provided this session that focused on simple steps to develop, implement and maintain aan effective health and safety management program for hotels.
