AHLA

Approved Accommodation Program

Our Quality Assurance Team works to ensure that visitors receive clean and comfortable accommodations where they see the Approved Accommodation sign. The AHLA's Quality Assurance Team has extensive knowledge and experience in the hospitality and accommodation industry. Each year, this team of qualified professionals inspects more than 700 fixed-roof accommodations and more than 400 campgrounds.  Click here for a copy of the Minimum Standards for Approved Accommodations. When you participate in the Approved Accommodation Program, you are entitled to the following benefits:
  1. A listing in the Provincial Travel Guides
  2. An internet listing on the Travel website
  3. Permission to display Approved Accommodation signs
  4. Eligibility for government highway signs

If your property is listed in the Accommodation or Campground Guide, you are an Approved Accommodation!

Each year, all Approved Accommodations properties receive a decal denoting the current year and their approved status.  Approved Accommodations can also apply to lease a sign from the AHLA at a nominal fee. The Approved Accommodation sign remains the property of the AHLA, and is subject to immediate removal on demand.

Properties who receive Approved Accommodation status can lease signs from the AHLA for a nominal fee.  All materials denoting a property's Approved status remain the property of the AHLA, and must be removed if a property's Approved status is revoked.
